- Arturo’s mom
We started bringing Arturo to CLC years ago and saw amazing changes in his immune function, his sleep, his digestion, and his comfort. We were preparing to have another baby and Arturo had a hip surgery coming up, life got hectic and we had to stop coming for adjustments for a bit. Within the first month of Arturo not getting his adjustments, we started to notice he was starting to fight sleep again, he was getting really tense, and overall just more uncomfortable. He had his hip surgery and while everything went really well, it was really hard on his body. The week after his surgery, we almost lost him because his pain was so bad. He was on so many pain killers, it was making him so sleepy, he couldn’t eat, and he was getting dehydrated.
He was casted for 6 weeks and then he had to get fitted for a brace. He spent the first 24 hrs crying in pain and we had to go into the ER. The following day we had to get him recasted for another 5 weeks because things were taking longer than expected to heal. He was starting to heal after the 2nd round of casts, but he was still in a constant state of crying. The only time he would not cry was when he was asleep. He was only able to get a couple hours of sleep at a time before the pain would wake him again. From December to April, we dealt with no sleep, constantly waking up through the night crying in pain, immediate crying if you tried to reposition him or touch his hips or back. He was so tight in a frog legged position, we couldn’t get him to extend and release his legs at all. His hands were always clenched in fists because it was just so painful. We couldn’t do anything but just stay at home with him and try to keep him as comfortable as possible. This was our reality for 5-6 months. We knew at that point we needed to get him back under consistent chiropractic care at CLC.
After his first adjustment back, he had this huge sigh of relief, and so did I! After his 2nd adjustment, he slept the entire night from when we got home at 5 pm until 6 am the next day (13 hours!!). That’s the first time he slept for more than a couple hours in over 6 months. After a week of adjustments, Arturo was able to fully extend and relax his legs for the first time. His clenched fists started to open up. He was happier and wasn’t crying out in pain constantly. We were able to re-position him without causing him severe pain. I felt like “we can do this again, we’re living again”. Arturo is no longer on any pain killers!
Even though we’ve seen how well Arturo responds to adjustments in the past, I still almost couldn’t believe it. It’s amazing to see that first initial scan and how much stress he had in his body, to where he’s at now! Before we started bringing Arturo to CLC 5 years ago, he would be in the ER every WEEK with an illness. While under weekly chiropractic care, he went a full year without any illness or hospital stays! Life got busy and we had to take a 3 month break from getting adjusted, and in that 3 months without chiropractic, he had 2 hospital stays for illnesses. When we came back for a long stretch of time and began getting Arturo adjusted weekly again, sure enough he didn’t have any hospital visits while under care for 2+ years!
I feel like we are no longer living life minute to minute, having to worry about what the next few hours is going to look like, we have something to look forward to now! Care at CLC has changed Arturo’s life in such a positive way that it is so hard not to tell everyone about it. I don’t know where we would be if we wouldn’t have come back in April. Coming to CLC for us is like a little kid opening his present on Christmas morning. We love everyone here and all you’ve done for our family. Arturo is flourishing!
- Tyson’s mom
“Tyson has ADHD and before coming to CLC we were frequently increasing his medication over a years time. He had a decreased appetite due to the meds, and wasn’t gaining weight. It was also very difficult to get him to settle for bed, and often took us a couple hours with him getting out of bed 6-8 times before getting him to sleep. Because of his ADHD and dyslexia, he felt isolated socially and just wasn’t sure of himself. He started to become more introverted, and didn’t want to play or socialize at school or extra curricular activities.
It was hard to watch him struggle, and we would question what we did wrong or what we missed as parents. You just want the best for your child, so seeing him take steps back socially was tough.
When we first came to Congruent Life, when the doctors explained that they would be working to balance the sympathetic and parasympathetic Nervous System that made so much sense to me. As a nurse, my brain just totally clicked and I felt like this was the last piece of the puzzle! Because we weren’t adding anything like meds, or other things into his body… my husband and I felt like we had nothing to lose!
We first noticed that Tyson’s care was making a difference at night time! Before, bedtime would take hours and was very stressful. After starting care we were able to decrease the melatonin we gave him every night and he would be able to settle down and go to sleep within an hour! It continues to improve, and some nights he’ll be out within 15 minutes! Bedtime is a lot less stressful now! He has also come out of his shell a lot. He is treating his struggles with dyslexia and ADHD as his advantage! Before care when he was stressed or nervous, he would have trouble getting his words out. Now that his nervous system is more calm, he can process and say what he wants to say! Socially he’s doing a lot better, and he’s proven to people that he’s not “naughty” or “out of control”, but actually a really kind kid. He’s able to reel things in, and really pump his breaks on his own. We’ve also been able to decrease his ADHD meds! The decrease happens in stages, and we were able to go one step down after a few months of care! We are hopeful to decrease even more this summer! This was definitely our missing puzzle piece that beautifully compliments everything else we are doing for Tyson!”
- Landon
We started Landon at CLC because he was struggling with seizures and anxiety. His body was always on the go and it seemed like he was never able to fully relax. Sleep was also a HUGE issue. He would go to sleep at 9:30 pm and by 10-10:30 pm he’d be up already having a party and it would be like that pretty much throughout the whole night.
At CLC you are focused on getting to the root cause of his issues with the functional assessments you do of the nervous system. It made so much sense when we saw how “noisy” and stressed his scans were on the first visit, and how that could be impacting Landon’s ability to be calm, sleep and heal from the seizures. You guys are so accommodating to Landon and always make him feel comfortable at his adjustments, which was something we haven’t experienced in the past with other chiros.
This is the first year we have noticed his seizures have not been as intense in September-November, which was always a time of the year where Landon would struggle with a ton of seizures for months on end. This year he only experienced them for a week or 2 here and there. It was nothing like before!
Since beginning care at CLC, Landon’s speech has improved significantly, as well as his vision. He used to be blind in his left eye, and at his last eye appointment we found out that Landon can now see BETTER out of his left eye (20/40) than he can out of his right (20/50)! Landon is a lot more calm now and his sleeping has improved SO MUCH, now that his nervous system is in a calmer state. Most of the time he sleeps til 4:30-5 am, compared to before where he would be up an hour after going to bed and then several times throughout the whole night! His seizures have improved significantly! We’ve also seen an improvement in his immune function, he hardly ever gets sick anymore!
- Kennedy’s Mom
We sought out care for Kennedy at CLC when she was 3 months old because she was experiencing constipation and was beginning to get really irritable. She started showing symptoms of being colicky. She also was having a hard time with sleeping and nursing. She had started to go on breast feeding strikes where she would just refuse to eat. We knew Congruent Life from a family friend. When we started looking at reviews and testimonials, we decided this is where we needed to come for Kennedy.
From the moments we walked in the doors, you all were so great at educating us about how chiropractic care could help Kennedy. The scans really showed us what was going on internally and how the birthing process affects a new borns system. It was very unique that it could show us as parents where the stressors were in her body. It made sense and helped us make a connection of how the nervous system stress was affecting her digestive system and the calming components of the brain important for sleep and overall comfort. Being educated on that helped us understand there were other answers than just “she’ll grow out of this” or “this is just a stage”.
Kennedy’s struggles began around 1 month old when she was getting out of the “sleepy” new born stage. So in terms of the constipation, sleep, irritability, and eating challenges, she had been struggling for about 2 months when we began care at CLC. She experienced relief from her constipation almost immediately after beginning adjustments. Kennedy was having a bowel movement once every several days before chiropractic, and that was with utilizing gas drops and the windi stick. We definitely wanted to find a more natural approach. I went through one bottle of gas drops and I didn’t want to keep medicating her if we didn’t have to. We wanted a long term solution for her. Within 2 weeks she was having bowel movements every day, sometimes multiple times per day, and they were much easier for her to pass without having to strain.
We also started to see improvements with her eating. Before, she would go on these eating strikes where she would refuse to eat at each feeding session, and sometimes it would last for an entire day before she’d eat again because she was so uncomfortable. Sometimes, the only way I could get her to nurse was if I was bouncing on a ball to keep her content during the feed. I was constantly having to switch positions just to find a way that she would eat. That was a big frustration and we knew we had to address this as soon as possible. Within the first few weeks of care, she was only striking maybe once a day rather than at every feeding session, and by the end of the first month she no longer struggles with nursing challenges and feeding strikes at all.
Kennedy is a wonderful sleeper now. After the first month of care, she was sleeping through the night at 3 months old. She hit a little sleep regression at the 4 month mark that we breezed through and now she’s been in a good pattern of just waking one time per night to feed and going right back to bed. Before we started care she waking every 3 hours, if not more if she was going through a growth spurt.
After that initial phase of care where we were bringing Kennedy in several times per week, she was so much more comfortable and a completely different baby overall. From being so fussy, irritable and uncomfortable all the time, to being a happy, calm and content baby that just goes with the flow, we’ve made it a priority to continue to bring her in for weekly wellness care. We can visibly see how much better she feels after her adjustments and want to continue to support her nervous system as she has so much growth and development ahead of her.
- Julia
“I began chiropractic care at Congruent Life through a suggestion from my older sister. I had been battling a cold that turned into bronchitis for over a month, and it was clear that my immune system was suppressed. I had also been battling with extremely poor sleep quality; most nights getting only a few hours of sleep and waking up multiple times throughout the night. I was constantly exhausted and the lack of sleep lead to increased anxiety and decreased energy. I was struggling to make it through each work day without heavy caffeination, and had no energy to keep up with my usual exercise regime. I was also experiencing poor digestion and my stomach would hurt often after eating.
I always try to go the natural route, and had tried various herbal teas, meditation, essential oils, and altering my diet. However, I was still constantly waking through the night, and struggling with low energy, productivity, digestive upset, and anxiety.
After meeting with Dr. Mike, he took the time to really explain how my issues were connected to subluxation; how it affects the balance of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system, digestion, sleep, and immune system response. Within just a few adjustments my sleep was improving. Now, I am sleeping through the night completely! I feel more refreshed when I wake, and have more energy throughout the day, allowing me to be more consistent with my workouts. My anxiety has also decreased, I have less stomach pain, and overall I just feel so much better! I rarely get sick now, and when I do my body is able to fight illnesses so much more quickly than before!
The whole team at Congruent Life is amazing and super friendly. They really care for all their clients, and have a passion for what they do. It’s always funny how excited Dr. Mike gets when I have a really good adjustment and how genuinely happy they all get to see improvements. I would recommend them a million times over!”

I started at Congruent to get my hormones in check, to help restore my cycle that had been missing for 3+ years, and just to feel better in my body overall. I didn’t feel like myself for the longest time with all the stress, sleeping problems, anxiety, and bloating. I feel so much better overall after coming to Congruent!
When I found Congruent, I had been struggling with all of these things for years. It was really stressful and frustrating because I didn’t understand why I was experiencing all these problems. All these symptoms led to so much more stress because I was worrying “would I would ever have a normal cycle again?”, “how is this going to affect my fertility in the long run?”, “am I always going to feel like this?”.
For the longest time I felt so unheard. I tried going to my normal physician and then he recommended just getting back on birth control after hearing that was not what I wanted. Then I went to an OB and they recommended the same thing, birth control, as well as another medication to induce a fake period. I felt like no one was understanding why this was important to me or understanding what I was going through.
Then I came to Congruent and I was given so many more options to help heal my body and restore my cycle rather than just being put on another pill. You let me go at my own pace. It felt good to finally be heard. I liked how you did a lot of new testing, and with everything you did you explained what you were doing and why you were doing it. After every adjustment, you talk about what you did and how it will help heal my body in different areas that are showing signs of stress. I felt way more educated about what was going on with my body. I think the understanding helped me feel more in tune with myself. I’m a lot more aware of when my body is stressed, and ways I can do to help navigate that stress more optimally.
After coming to Congruent, I overall feel more at home in my body. After the first couple of adjustments, I was already starting to notice my mood was improving. I wasn’t as irritable and moody. My boyfriend has even mentioned how I’m a completely different person now. I felt so hopeful that he was even noticing the changes that were happening in me. Before, certain things would really stress me out, I wouldn’t have energy at night… that all started to improve almost right away. I started to experience a lot better sleep, my energy levels improved, I can handle stress so much better… because of that I have so much more time to do things I enjoy because I’m not so stressed about my to-do list every day. My digestion and bloating improved as well. After a couple months of care, I had my first period in over 3 years! It makes me really hopeful for the future!

My twins and wife started at Congruent, and when I saw incredible changes in them, I knew it was something I wanted for myself too. I was dealing with anxiety and panic attacks that would happen at least once a week. I couldn’t hardly go to work on the days that I was having panic attacks. I would be so down into them I wouldn’t want to do anything but sleep. I also was experiencing pretty severe tingling into my arms that would keep me up at night; I had a terrible time sleeping. Additionally, I used to do a lot of concrete work and would get really bad pain right above my tailbone every morning.
Since beginning care at CLC, I am able to handle stress so much better now. I don’t fly off the wall like I used to. I don’t get very angry anymore, I used to be able to snap so quickly. My anxiety and panic attacks I used to have are slim to none now. I can’t even remember the last time I’ve had one. I truly believe a lot of that has to do from getting my adjustments. Now that I’m not easily tempered, I feel like I am a better husband and dad.
Additionally, I don’t have any tingling in my arms anymore, so that is no longer disrupting my sleep. The pain in my tail bone is gone. If I don’t have my weekly adjustment, my body definitely feels it. My whole body feels so much better after getting adjusted both physically and emotionally. Receiving chiropractic care here has changed my entire family’s life.

Coming to Congruent has been amazing to say the least. I started going to chiropractors a long time ago because of my scoliosis, but I had never experienced the level of care and healing you provide your patients with here. I moved to the area for college and knew I needed to find a new chiropractor, I’m so thankful I found CLC.
Before care at Congruent, it was very hard to sit still and focus in class. On top of that, all of the college books I was having to carry around was taking a toll on my body physically. I was extremely tense everywhere. The new surroundings and demands of college added a lot of emotional stress to my plate that I wasn’t handling well. My stress levels were all over the place and I was struggling with severe anxiety that was consuming my life. My sleep was horrible which led to a lot of fatigue and low energy. Additionally, I had experienced DAILY nausea, for the last 2 years; the thought of breakfast made we want to throw up.
SO MUCH has changed since beginning at CLC. My morning sickness has improved significantly; I was actually able to start eating breakfast without the nausea for the first time in YEARS! Before, my nervous system was too stressed to be able to digest food appropriately, but now I can fuel my body in the mornings to give me more energy throughout the day. The tightness between my shoulders has gone down by a lot and my body overall feels much more relaxed. One of the biggest changes I have noticed has been in my sleep and energy. Before, I would have nights where I’d be up all night long, which led to days where I wouldn’t be able to get out of bed. Now, I’m able to fall asleep at night and stay asleep rather than waking throughout the night, which has allowed me to wake up in the mornings with energy instead of feeling fatigued all day. I’m SO MUCH more energized!! That’s been extremely helpful to keep up with the demands between school and work as a college student.
Another HUGE change has been in my ability to handle stress. 6 months ago, one stressful situation would have just tipped me over the edge and I would freak out, my anxiety would go crazy and would often end in a panic attack. It was like having one drop of water in cup that would just cause all my stress to start overflowing, I couldn’t handle it well at all. The stress felt like it was crumbling me up and I couldn’t function. Now, I’m able to actually breath through my stress! Chiropractic has allowed me to utilize coping mechanisms so much better, rather than having the stress completely consume my mind and body. I can look at a problem more rationally and be able to solve it, now that my brain and nervous system aren’t always locked in fight or flight mode. Not only does my body feel so much better, but more importantly my MIND does.
When I was in high school, I actually worked at a chiro’s office and had a basic understanding of chiropractic; but when I came to CLC my eyes were completely opened to the neurological and functional aspect of how adjustments help the nervous system function better; your approach is much more wellness based which I LOVE, rather than always just focusing on pain. The doctors tell me exactly what is going on internally and how my nervous system is responding to adjustments FUNCTIONALLY, which is something I have never had with my prior chiropractic experiences. I really enjoy that aspect, it’s really encouraging to gain an understanding of what is going on with my body internally, you really involve me in the healing process which is so important, it gives me more motivation to want to lead a healthier life style in general.
This was my first chiropractic experience where I had the neurological scans done; they were so validating! I had never actually been able to SEE where the stress was at in my body and just how bad it was; you were able to explain to me what my symptoms were trying to communicate, WHY certain systems of my body weren’t functioning optimally, and how that was connected to my nervous system. It has really allowed me understand how chiropractic is helping my body heal, as well as those steps I can do along with you guys to heal myself fully; it’s been such an empowering experience. My chiropractic experience before all seemed to just revolve around pain, but you guys have gone way above and beyond that. You look at the WHOLE nervous system to restore function. I’ve been able to see so much progress on my scans along this healing journey. Knowing that not only am I feeling so much better, but also functioning so much better INTERNALLY has been so motivating for me to want to lead a healthier life style.
I am actually planning to go to chiropractic school in a few years! You guys have inspired me so much to want to incorporate so much of what you do here for your patients into my practice in the future to help people live a life where they feel and function their best! It’s so cool coming here and watching you care for so many kids and pregnant women, and really teaching people about how to be proactive in their health and healing journeys.
- CJ
We started CJ to help with his anxiety and sleep. We had been bringing his sister for a long time and saw such amazing progress with her speech apraxia, we knew we wanted to get CJ checked and give him the same opportunity to feel his best.
CJ had been struggling with both anxiety and sleep for at least a year. He had a lot more anxiety around school and he wasn’t waking up well rested like he should, even with the melatonin we were giving him. It was hard as a parent to see him struggling.
We definitely didn’t want to start medications at that young of an age, we wanted to go the more holistic root and try to find the root cause of the anxiety and sleep challenges. It was reassuring to see the neurological scans you did at CLC because we were able to really pinpoint the areas of stress on his system that could be contributing to his brain being more in a “fight or flight” mode.
Within the first 2-3 weeks of adjustments, I noticed his anxiety was already starting to improve! He didn’t come home from school as anxious as he had been before. He wasn’t breaking down as easily with little things either. We also noticed improvements with his sleep early on and he was able to stop taking melatonin in the evenings.
We’ve been bringing CJ now for over a year and he is doing fantastic! He no longer struggles with anxiety like he was before. When there is something that starts to lead to those anxious feelings, he is able to process it so much better now and doesn’t just get upset right away. He sleeps so well now. CJ loves coming each week for his adjustments!
