- Addi

“Addi was wetting the bed 4 out of 7 nights. She was also having 45+ minute tantrums almost every other day over the littlest things! It felt never ending! With two other kids it was exhausting, frustrating and I felt guilty for being frustrated with her for things out of her control.

I started to realize that Congruent Life was making a difference when I was doing laundry one day and realized it had been TWO FULL WEEKS that I’ve been doing laundry without any pee undies or sheets!! It’s now a lot more calm, and a lot less stress! Addi doesn’t feel embarrassed anymore for wetting the bed… it’s been a full month now!”

- Vivi

“Before starting care here, Vivi would have some crazy fits that I wouldn’t be able to bring her out of very easily. It was one of those things where I thought, “Is she a 3 year old having fits or is this abnormal?” Then, she started getting up in the middle of the night, again, I asked myself the same thing. After about 2 months of both of those things happening together, I began to think it wasn’t normal, my mom instinct said I should explore chiropractic care.

It was super frustrating because it felt like there was nothing I could do to help her. I know she has big emotions and there were no strategies I had to help her calm down. I felt lost. My youngest started sleeping through the night but then Vivi started getting up. I thought we were past that. I was exhausted and I know she was exhausted.

I’ve been to a lot of chiropractors before and I’ve never seen the scans that you do done before, plus going over them in depth. You guys did such an awesome job explaining everything, from what could be happening and what we could be seeing as a result of interference. She had so much energy before and that was on those scans too. It’s super kid friendly here which is nice, the doctors and staff are so good with kids. It’s helpful knowing my youngest can be in the waiting room and play while I’m tending to Vivi.

It wasn’t an immediate thing, but after a couple weeks, maybe once a week she’d sleep through the night. This was a big deal! She had been waking up 1-3 times every night. When she started sleeping through the night again I was like, “Maybe this is working!” Then a couple weeks later she’d sleep through the night a couple times a week! She’s now to the point where she pretty much always sleeps through the night! When she does have a fit she can easily come out of it.

I was so encouraged to start chiropractic care for Vivi because I was doing something to have a positive outcome, instead of just turning my wheels and wondering, “Why is she not sleeping through the night, why is she having these issues?” Coming to the chiropractor and having Dr. Mike and Dr. Nikki explain what might be going on in her body and then having an action to help, gave me so much more hope than just reading a book and hoping that it would just fix on its own. I felt like I was being an active participant in her health, that was what was most encouraging to me throughout the process. Irregardless if it worked immediately, or took awhile, at least I knew I was doing something for her.

I’m hopeful we can keep on top of the health, being proactive instead of reactive. My husband and I are proactive when it comes to our health, but it took this happening for us to realize we need to be doing that for our kids too, for their future, so they can be healthy in the mind and the body. I’m grateful knowing the difference between, ‘is my kid doing this because they can’t control their body and emotions’, or ‘is my kid doing this because it’s a stage they’re in.’ There’s a vast difference. Now I have a better idea of what’s normal and I’m glad I listened to my intuition.”

“I started care at CLC to address my hormone imbalances. I had been walking through the difficult journey of recurrent miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies. We found out that I had a benign tumor on my ovary that was a contributing factor. All the doctors I had seen so far were just taking a “watch and wait” approach. It was really frustrating and devastating as we knew it was contributing to the loss of several pregnancies.

Once I started getting adjusted I was able to get pregnant within 1 month! That was the first time I was able to sustain a pregnancy in a couple of years. We got an ultrasound right away because of my history, and we were shocked to see that the tumor I had on my ovary for over 2 years was gone. The last time we had it evaluated on ultrasound was in January before starting care; the mass was 2 cm big and hadn’t changed in size for 2 years. I started care at CLC in March of that same year and by April my tumor was gone and I was pregnant!

We gave birth to Olivia in December; she was our 1st of 5 children who was adjusted as an infant, literally hours after she was born! Her growth and development journey has been vastly different from our other kids who did not receive chiropractic care until they were older (more on their chiropractic stories below!). Olivia is by far our healthiest child. She has very advanced speech compared to my other kids; at 2 years old she is talking in full sentences and speaks very clearly, whereas some of my other children were non-verbal at the age of two and had major speech challenges. Olivia is also more advanced in her gross-motor skills and is much more emotionally stable than my other kids. She doesn’t have anxiety like her siblings did. She is outgoing and doesn’t let fear intervene with how she interacts with people.

Before beginning care at CLC, my older kids were struggling with anxiety, OCD, behavioral challenges, major sensory issues, and major speech challenges… the difference you had to offer was getting to the root of the problem.

My oldest daughter wasn’t able to feel parts of her body and her bones were collapsing. Once she started getting adjusted, she was able to feel parts of her body that she was never able to before and her bones have been able to start evening out more. I wish we would have known about chiropractic sooner for her.

I’ve seen tremendous improvements with all my older kids in terms of anxiety, OCD, and behavioral issues after beginning care. Some of my kids were non-verbal up until 2 and we had to get other interventions involved. Once we began chiropractic care, their speech and language development rapidly started excelling and they were able to get caught up to the appropriate level. Our only child who has never experienced any of these challenges is Olivia who has been adjusted since literally a few hours old.

Our entire family, my 5 kids, myself and my husband are all under weekly chiropractic care. Our entire household environment is much more calm now; before coming here we were kind of at a loss of what to do for everyone’s health issues. We were seeking care from other holistic health care practitioners at the time, and what we found was that once we started chiropractic care, all those other things we were working on started getting better. It was like chiropractic was the missing link to connect all those other practices we were trying like PT, OT, and different supplements. Our nervous systems were finally calm enough to actually integrate all the other changes and protocols we were doing.

We look at health totally different now, we are seeing it through a new lens. We don’t live in fear about any chronic health issues that may come along, because we have now been equipped with a lot more tools and knowledge because of chiropractic; how our body’s work and how our bodies heal. Rather than suppressing our body from doing what it was designed and created to do, we’ve opened up a whole new world on how to actually support our bodies as it navigates different symptoms and stressors.”

- Gage’s Mom

I starting bringing Gage to CLC at the age of 3 for constipation and anxiety. Looking back, he was definitely sick more often before beginning care. He spent 6 nights in the hospital for RSV when he was 2 and had been on several different antibiotics when he was younger. He doesn’t see his pediatrician anymore except for his annual physical for school because he doesn’t get sick like he used to! His doctor even commented that over the last 3 years he had only been there 3 times for his physicals and how incredible that was.

When we started, he was eating really well and drinking plenty of water but still was struggling with constipation because it would hurt to go. I didn’t want to resort to using long term miralax. Anything I could do to help him be able to listen to his body and allow it to function better was my goal when I was seeking chiropractic care. Shortly after starting, I noticed Gage was having more regular bowel movements without the pain and anxiety associated with it. After chiropractic, he was struggling less in general. His anxiety is nothing like it was when we started. His ability to socialize also started to improve! He is able to do things more independently now and I’ve seen his confidence grow over time. Gage used to complain about neck pain and he doesn’t have that problem any more either. When he started to get relief, it felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. As a mom, it makes you feel good when your kids can start to handle some of the day to day things more independently.

The scans that you do here show that as we have continued with care, his nervous system is a lot less stressed than it used to be. Both of my kids love coming to the chiropractor. As soon as I tell them we are coming, they fight over who gets to go first. To me that says they notice a difference too!

Gage is growing great and is doing amazing in school, especially behaviorally which is something we have struggled with in the past. He rarely gets sick and no longer struggles with constipation and anxiety. I truly believe everything we are doing preventatively for Gage with chiropractic care has been a crucial component to that.

As a mom, learning about how I have been in a perpetual state of fight or flight, I wanted to be able to help my kids be able to calm and regulate that. It was important to me to find a chiropractor that approaches the body and healing in a holistic way, and that’s what you do at CLC! I also began care at CLC during my 2nd pregnancy to help prepare my body for a drug free delivery, and it made all the difference!

- Cash’s mom

When we started care at CLC our son Cash had recently been diagnosed with mild ADHD. He was consistently interrupting, could not seem to settle himself down and often angry with himself because he knew his behaviors were something that he could not control. We were at the point of daily calls, emails and chats with school about his behaviors. He was getting shipped out of class just as often.

It was a constant struggle with Cash. He’d leave school ‘in trouble’ and come home ‘in trouble’, while at home his was ‘in trouble’. He spent more time being punished because of his behaviors then he did actually getting to be a kid. My husband and I wanted to exhaust every opportunity that we could before even thinking about medicine and we’re thankful we heard about CLC at the time we did. He’s such a fantastic kid (not just saying that as his mom) and has always been ‘that boy with a TON of energy’ and we really didn’t want to lose that about him.

My husband, Nick, goes to the same gym as Dr. Mike, Dr. Nikki and Mady. He sent me a testimonial from another mother whose son was going through the exact same things that Cash was and was receiving care at CLC. It honestly brought tears to my eyes to hear their results. This is what we’d been looking for. The atmosphere at CLC, along with Dr’s Mike & Nikki, Mady, everyone… it’s just such a family feel. They’re rooting for your kids as much as you are.

This journey with Cash is most definitely a process. It’s been a great journey with CLC and Cash is still trying to get exactly where he needs to be. He went through a really good stint at school about a month in. He was getting rave reviews from school and we could also see a change of him being able to not get so angry with himself at home as much. That’s when we knew, hey this is actually making a difference. For Cash – his journey with CLC is still ongoing. For us, as a family, in the end we decided that maybe medicine wasn’t such a bad thing and that we did need to take another look. BUT it’s only one piece of his puzzle. Through that and his regular adjustments with CLC, he is THRIVING at school and at home. There isn’t the same amount of doubt for him and he can now, for the most part (he’s still working on it), control those emotions or situations that would always seem to get him in trouble. We’re hoping that continued adjustments will get him on track to not need the additional assistance of medicine one day!”
