“Keyten has some proprioception and sensory issues. He was having out of control behaviors and meltdowns. He has always had the sensory issues but we didn’t know about it until he was 4 and started speech therapy and preschool. When Keyten’s behaviors were really bad it was really hard to get him to calm down and think reasonably. I felt like a failure as a parent & was afraid his younger sister would catch on to the bad behaviors. I decided to try chiropractic because I was looking for something that would really help Keyten. We have been to specialists, were already in OT and speech so I wanted to try something different. I was intrigued by what I had read online about how chiropractic had helped others and decided I wanted to try that before adding other therapies.

Keyten had such impressive and positive changes after the first month of care, I knew we were on the right track. He has become much more calm. His meltdowns have become fewer and not nearly as bad. He is sleeping and eating better when we travel. His occupational therapist even told us she plans to discharge him after school starts!

“We started care at CLC because our baby was fussy at night, gassy after feeding, and spit up whenever we laid her flat after eating. She had trouble with bowel movements going days without one and had trouble sleeping. She cried for 3 hours one night. We felt helpless! She seemed so uncomfortable and in pain. We just felt so badly for her. I wanted to be able to comfort her but nothing seemed to work!

We love our pediatrician, but sometimes you need something in addition to that care. I was very happy to find CLC to care for and calm my baby, aside from just hearing that it is normal and they’ll grow out of it. The first couple weeks of care things were still pretty rough, so I had to keep telling myself that it wasn’t an instant fix. But soon after she started becoming more regular with her bowel movements and wouldn’t spit up after eating! She was HAPPY! She IS happy!! She might fuss for a minute or so while going to sleep but that’s it! She’s a whole new baby!!

Having a baby that loves to smile is so much better than having a baby that won’t stop crying. We can enjoy her now instead of always having to try and console her or try to figure out and fix what was wrong. Since being under care at CLC we’re less stressed, she’s less stressed and her brothers are less stressed!”

“I started Amelia at CLC because of her terrible stomach and gas pains. She would become so backed up and constipated. She would go a week, sometimes longer, without pooping! When she would finally poop, it was very difficult and painful for her. She would lack sleep and refuse to do tummy time. She became a very sad, hurting baby. This started from birth but gradually became worse. I tried EVERYTHING! Gas drops, gripe water, home exercises, massages, etc. Any and every idea I was told.

Since being under care at CLC we have celebrated MULTIPLE poopy diapers a DAY! As well as pooping without tears or struggle. Amelia is also sleeping better, eating better and so much happier! It’s like a whole new child. She is also finally willing to try tummy time.

It is hard to find a business (especially health related) that is so positive minded like my husband and I try to be. “I initially started coming to CLC because of my terrible headaches/migraines and also dizziness. I was getting them weekly, which impacted work and my daily life. I felt like I was constantly dizzy which would often make me nauseous. I blacked out OFTEN when standing up and would have to stop until my vision came back. I have been to other Doctors multiple times and they would just put me on meds which made me very ill. I also had very irregular bowel movements which I was taking medication for from time to time.

Since starting care at Congruent Life, my blackouts/dizziness have COMPLETELY stopped. I have fewer migraines and headaches as well.

A couple things that completely surprised me have also changed since starting care. I’m back to regular/daily bowel movements, I’m sleeping better and I’m MUCH less anxious. My menstrual cycle has also improved greatly!! I used to have horrible cramping/bleeding and now it’s completely bearable compared to the past!

“Addi was wetting the bed 4 out of 7 nights. She was also having 45+ minute tantrums almost every other day over the littlest things! It felt never ending! With two other kids it was exhausting, frustrating and I felt guilty for being frustrated with her for things out of her control.

I started to realize that Congruent Life was making a difference when I was doing laundry one day and realized it had been TWO FULL WEEKS that I’ve been doing laundry without any pee undies or sheets!! Kendall is now thriving! She does not experience colic anymore, and her spit ups are few and far between! The biggest moment for us was when she was weighed & was finally on the charts at her 6 month appointment! She’s growing both in size and developmentally!!”

“We originally started care at CLC for my son Tristan. Tristan suffered a traumatic brain injury at 10 weeks of age. He has cerebral palsy, cortical visual impairment (legally blind), seizure disorder, spastic quadriplegia, hip dysplasia, and was experiencing chronic constipation. He was so incredibly tight and only having bowel movements every 3 days. We also decided to start my son Armando who is on the autism spectrum and has a moderate intellectual disability. With the autism diagnosis came increasing behaviors and aggression because of his frustration from his sensory issues. I decided to jump on board too and start care as I’ve had back issues for a long time and was getting ready to begin PT again.

Since starting care we have reached many milestones! Tristian is now having MULTIPLE bowel movements a DAY which is amazing!! He is also vocalizing more and just appears happier! At his last neurology appointment, Tristan was able to detect LIGHT for the FIRST TIME EVER!! Since a month before school let out this year, Armando has not had to use his meds for his aggression!! We have also recently cut one of his other meds in half for the summer. Armando is very excited to come get adjusted regularly and he loves Dr. Mike! You can find him relaxing in room 3 the minute we are told we can go in! SO relaxed that he fell asleep one day! For me, my back pain is less and I’m just feeling pretty good overall! It feels wonderful to be getting adjusted on a regular basis!

The entire team at Congruent Life Chiropractic are amazing. We truly feel like family. Dr. Mike is amazing with the boys and he takes time to talk to them and have conversations with them. The whole team is amazing with the boys and answers Armando’s never ending line of questions! Dr. Mike does give me a little grief about my Lularoe addiction, but I suppose I deserve that. We are blessed to be a part of the Congruent Life family and thank God for connecting me with Jen who told me about this amazing place!”

Like many of the kiddos we see, this little guy has been through so much! When Arturo was just 9 months old they started going to doctor appointments all the time. They were hardly ever home, and the doctor’s office and ER was their “second home”. They went to neurology, genetics and visited the ER 4-5x a month and every test came back negative. He was constipated since birth, taking Miralax daily. Arturo would go 2-3 weeks constipated, and he would cry when it came time to go to the bathroom because it was so painful. He experienced frequent ear infections, RSV and dehydration. Arturo was never sick-free for more than two weeks. Their family was afraid to go out, because even a simple walk when it was breezy would turn into a fever spike and a cold! After all of those hospital stays and doctors visits, they still didn’t know what was wrong or how they could help him! They felt like they had exhausted all of their resources, and didn’t know what else there was.

One day Arturo’s mom received a Facebook message from a friend saying “I’ve been bringing my daughter to a great chiropractor, and I really think it could help him!” Since her friend had nothing to gain from sharing their experience, her interest was sparked! She checked out our Facebook page and website, and saw that we specialize in helping kiddos with special needs. Everyone seemed to be afraid to try and help special needs kiddos, so it really drew her in that we were experienced in helping these kiddos!

On their initial visits when Dr. Mike went over the scans and said that he had found something and could help, she took a sigh of relief. They FINALLY found something! Never in the last 3 years did they have any test come back with results that they could actually do something with to help Arturo! Mom says that “this was our missing puzzle piece!”

They have seen so many amazing changes in the last couple months being under care. Arturo hasn’t been to the doctor AT ALL since starting care. Before, they couldn’t go anywhere without him getting sick. Now they can take walks, he can play with his sisters, he can go to school and he doesn’t get sick every time like he did before. He can be a KID! He’s gone from waking up every night between 12-3 am, to sleeping through the night! After his first 3 weeks of care, Arturo started pooping daily with no Miralax! His constipation is now few and far between! He has more energy, and mom says he just acts more alive!!

This family drives 30 minutes each way to get to our office! Mom says “it’s SO worth it!!” When asked what she likes about our office she said, “You guys are AMAZING! The doctors are so loving, and it feels like home. It doesn’t feel like a doctor’s office, you all want to get to know us and care about our days! You don’t find other doctors like that! What you do for families, the encouragement and inspiration both in person and on Facebook makes our days better! We wanted something different, and that’s what we got!”

“Preslee had many many ear infections. She had burst ear drums, tubes in her ears… and her body just wasn’t fighting infection well. She was also complaining of back pain, which was really concerning. I just didn’t want my 2 year old to be in pain anymore. I felt like I was failing, and it was so frustrating. What was I missing?

Since being under care she hasn’t had any more back pain, and she is much more calm over all. Transitions are better, and it’s easier to calm her down. She’s better able to cope with her emotions, which means we can go do more without worrying about big meltdowns. She hasn’t had ANY ear infections and she’s only had ONE cold this winter that her body easily fought; she’s just not sick anymore like she was before!!”
